Data Analyst (Remote)Contract Duration: 4 months (possible extension)Location: RemoteSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST/CST preferredJob OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support an ongoing project. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to transform data into meaningful business insights.In this role, you will work closely with the Hiring Manager and a team of data analysts to manage data, develop reports, identify trends, and support process improvement initiatives. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to present the story behind the data to business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform data analysis to support business decisions and operational improvements.Aggregate, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources.Create and maintain reports using business intelligence and reporting tools.Perform data mining and identify insights to support operations, including laboratory equipment maintenance activities.Develop ad hoc reports and analyze structured and unstructured data.Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across reporting sources.Present data findings and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.Support process improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements.Assist with vendor management activities when needed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing processes and workflows.Required Qualifications4–7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business analytics.Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with data management, reporting, data validation, and data quality.Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to explain findings and "tell the story of the data."Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Experience with Smartsheet.Experience with pharmaceutical, laboratory, healthcare, or equipment management environments.Experience supporting operational teams or process improvement initiatives.Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data reporting applications.Technical SkillsMicrosoft Excel (advanced proficiency preferred)Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)SmartsheetData reporting and visualization toolsData cleansing and validation techniquesWork EnvironmentFully remote positionCollaboration with internal teams and occasional client interactionOne virtual interview via Microsoft Teams with the Hiring Manager
