Job Duties:
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to manual machines Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools Test operation of machines periodically Fix issues that might occur during the shift Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Keep records of approved and defective units or final products Maintain activity log
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements:
Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. Mechanical background and manual machine operation required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
