About the role
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Junior Cyber Tools and Patching Architect to join our Client's team.
Position Responsibilities
Operate under the general technical direction/oversight of the Cybersecurity Chief Architect to develop and implement Cyber Capabilities intended to improve the overall cybersecurity posture across Development Labs and Operational Systems
Increase the program’s ability to meet customer expectations, and also allows for greater emphasis on endpoint product compliance in the operational environment
Work closely with C2BMC National Team (NT) Agile Release Train (ARTs) to implement system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and capabilities to counter emerging threats
Design and implement a variety of cybersecurity tools, including security information and event monitoring (SIEM), data loss prevention (DLP), intrusion detection system (IDS), vulnerability scanning, endpoint security, and others, to assist with enterprise modernization
Work closely with the Modelling Team to integrate cybersecurity requirements into a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model for the program
Basic Qualifications
Strong cybersecurity analysis background to include knowledge of the following:
Identity and access management methodologies
Vulnerability management
Compliance management
Database Enterprise information security infrastructure
Proficiency in the implementation of cybersecurity principles and requirements relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation
Experience in cybersecurity requirements evaluation and validation
Knowledge of cybersecurity systems engineering principles
Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol [TCP/IP], Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol [DHCP]) and directory services (e.g., Domain Name System [DNS]). Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) application and hardening operating systems and applications
Experience in cyber threat assessment and risk management of a mission system
Knowledge of cyber operations and operational impacts
Experience in continuous monitoring and authorization activities
Experience Required
The position requires a strong working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as patch management, multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management, and defense-in-depth
Must have experience in cybersecurity requirement generation, cybersecurity architecture design, cybersecurity audit tools, and cybersecurity compliance for mission systems
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships, technical document preparation, and verbal communication skills required for presentation of technical cybersecurity issues and reports to senior government and military officials
Desired experience hardening Windows and Linux servers and workstations in accordance with CTO, IAVM, and STIG
Desired recent experience and familiarity with creating/updating product design documentation, network designs, and software engineering backgrounds are a plus
Required
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent years of experience is preferred. Required
DoD 8140 certification (e.g., CISSP or equivalent) within 60 days of start.
