This role involves: Inventorying items in our shelter storage Keeping track of how many items come in and go out of the storage space Restocking essentials that are running low in the shelter (ex. toilet paper, utensils)Throwing out any old food from the communal fridge/freezer Taking out the trash to the proper bins (organics, trash, recycling) and pulling the bins to the curb for trash day Disinfecting the counters, fridge interior and exterior, and the dining room table Informing the shelter director when anything is running low in the storage area If this volunteer opportunity interests you, please reach out to volunteers@wiseplace.org with 3-5 dates that work for you to attend a 30-45 minute volunteer orientation. We thank you for your interest in volunteering for WISEPlace, and hope to see you at a volunteer orientation soon!

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
