About the role
- Understand the data pipeline and data lake structure to make information accessible for reporting and analysis
- Partner with the data engineering team to unlock new data flows and improve data availability
- Build Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations from the ground up based on evolving business needs
- Work with end users to refine report usability, filtering, and visualization quality
- Troubleshoot report performance issues, including load times and data refresh problems
- Analyze sales, inventory, and operational data to identify trends and actionable insights
- Maintain and distribute recurring reports used by leadership and cross-functional teams
- Perform routine data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy across systems
- Support data modeling and analytical projects that inform strategic planning and forecasting
- Produce ad hoc reporting for business reviews, performance analysis, and strategic initiatives
- Contribute analytical insights that communicate performance, trends, and opportunities
- Support special projects involving large datasets and cross-departmental analysis
- Maintain organized datasets, documentation, and reporting tools used across departments
- We're Looking for Someone Who HasBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office SuiteStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear insights
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly Preferred
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis/engineering tools
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization best practices
- Experience working with large datasets and data validation processes
- Experience in publishing industry and/or ecommerce sales
