This company not only has license to some of the most desirable brand sin the space..it also serves the department store, mass and off price markets with innovative product. We are searching for a Technical, Sleepwear Designer.
SUMMARY: Technical Designer – Sleepwear
Location: New York, NYThe ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of technical design experience in sleepwear, loungewear or active with strong soft garment construction and fit knowledge, and experience managing products with overseas factories from development through production.
Responsibilities: Create and maintain technical packages and construction specifications. Review and evaluate fit samples, conduct fittings on live models and mannequins, and issue clear fit comments. Partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and overseas vendors throughout development. Review patterns, grading, and garment measurements for accuracy. Resolve fit and construction issues while maintaining product quality. Maintain accurate product information within the PLM system. Manage multiple projects and development calendars simultaneously.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of Technical Design experience in sleepwear or related apparel. Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit. Experience working with overseas factories. Proficiency with PLM systems (VStitcher and 3D fit experience a plus but not required)Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
