About the role
Research Assistant II TempThe Gilbert S. Omenn Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, University of Michigan is seeking a Research Assistant II Temp. This position will include assisting with wet lab bench work and project startup documentation for exciting work developing cell reprogramming technologies. Projects will be fast-paced and milestone-driven. The candidate will work on a small team within a larger lab that includes trainees at all levels and will help communicate with a larger network of collaborating teams on technical issues and logistics. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- *Careful documentation of experiment details and metadata
- Writing lab reports based on documentation
- Reading and summarizing scientific literature
- Assist with communication and coordination across academic and industry collaborators
- Assisting with experiment procedures including PCR, cell culture, imaging, sample preparation for sequencing
Required Qualifications: *Bachelors in biology-related field
Desired Qualifications:
*Master's in data science or similar field. 1+ years experience in digital records with management or similar.

Background Screening:
