We are seeking a Manager, Claims (Corporate Liability & Training) to lead, coach, and develop a team of liability claims professionals while driving training excellence across our organization. What You'll Do: As the Manager, Claims (Corporate Liability & Training), you will provide leadership and strategic direction for liability claims operations and training initiatives. You will play a key role in developing future claims talent, ensuring consistent claims handling practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Key responsibilities include: Lead, coach, and mentor claims professionals handling liability review, non-injury, and minor injury claims. Support the success and development of Claims Training Program graduates through ongoing coaching and performance management. Oversee the Claims Trainer role, ensuring training effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. Develop, maintain, and enhance training materials, onboarding programs, and developmental resources. Partner with claims leadership to identify training priorities and emerging skill development needs. Serve as a liaison between regional operations and corporate training functions to ensure business needs are reflected in training strategies. Promote consistency in training delivery, claims handling standards, and developmental practices across the organization. Monitor claim quality, productivity, and service metrics, providing guidance to achieve strong results. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and engaging work environment focused on employee growth and success. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, performance management, employee development, and succession planning. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners, vendors, independent adjusting firms, and legal counsel. Represent Great West Casualty Company professionally within the insurance marketplace.
What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related professional experience. Minimum of 7 years of claims adjusting experience. Previous leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or training experience preferred. Strong knowledge of liability claims handling principles and best practices. Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to improve results. Commitment to customer service, integrity, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
