Role Overview Apply advanced Excel and business intelligence expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, well-structured data, practical analysis, and clear reporting. This remote independent-contractor role focuses on translating real business questions into actionable insights that support AI training initiatives. Prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities Use advanced Excel capabilities to structure, analyze, and present data for AI model training. Work closely with the customer team to understand project objectives and deliver business intelligence solutions. Clean, prepare, and validate large datasets to maintain accuracy and integrity for analytics and AI-system use. Develop and document BI workflows and processes, communicating clearly in writing and conversation. Translate business questions and requirements into actionable data insights and input that supports model improvement. Create detailed Excel reports, dashboards, and visualizations for AI training initiatives. Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes using Excel functions and add-ons. Qualifications At least 5 years of hands-on business intelligence or analytics experience, primarily focused on Excel. Advanced proficiency with Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, data modeling, data analysis, reporting, visualization, data cleaning, and validation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex data insights to varied audiences. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and deliver work reliably. Solid understanding of business processes and the ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions. Experience preparing, cleaning, and validating large datasets for analytics or AI training. Close attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, dependable outputs. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or data science projects through business intelligence work. Experience with process automation or optimization using Excel or related tools. Relevant business intelligence, analytics, or Excel certifications. Work Terms Remote independent-contractor engagement. Compensation $40 to $50 per hour.
