Key Skills: AutoCAD | Residential Design | Florida Building CodesPOSITION OVERVIEWOur client, an award-winning residential design and architectural firm in the Orlando area, is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to join its growing team. This role focuses on producing residential architectural plans and full construction documents using AutoCAD, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position after the initial contract period.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Draft residential architectural plans using AutoCAD or Revit. Produce full construction documents in a production environment. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Communicate with internal and external clients. Support project administration alongside team leaders. Ensure drawings align with project requirements and applicable building codes. WHAT YOU'LL BRING2+ years of AutoCAD experience, preferably within residential design. Residential design and documentation experience. Experience producing full construction documents. Knowledge of Florida residential codes, including hurricane requirements. Familiarity with Florida Building Codes and construction practices. High school diploma or GED required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Revit experience is a plus.
