Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Accountant: Process weekly payroll for approximately 160 employees across three states, including union employees representing roughly 50% of the workforce. Administer payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions. Partner with HR and leadership to review and approve payroll before processing. Manage accounts payable activities, including processing approximately 1,000 invoices monthly. Reconcile and monitor approximately $150K in monthly corporate credit card transactions. Support payroll-related accounting entries, reconciliations, and compliance activities. Qualifications for the Payroll Accountant: Experience processing multi-state payroll. Union payroll experience. Accounts Payable experience.
