Summary Of Position: Under general supervision, assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery. Sets up and operates the heart/lung machine. Consults with Physicians and selects appropriate equipment. Performs related duties as required. Education, Training & Experience Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree with a major in perfusion technology or graduation from a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology required. Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required, once eligible. BLS is required. Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
