Position Details
Patient Population: Hospitalized patients
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges; evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions; coordinate patient care; order and interpret diagnostic studies; document patient encounters; respond to medical emergencies including codes and rapid response situations; provide ventilator management; participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary meetings; educate patients and families; participate in quality improvement initiatives. Required Procedures: No procedures requiredEMR System: Cerner Support Staff: Specialists, Primary Care Providers, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, CRNAs, Emergency Medicine Physicians, and Ancillary Services
On-Call/Weekends: Rotating call schedule; Rotating weekends ( when scheduled)
Submission Requirements:
  • MD or DO from accredited medical school Required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) Required
  • Active Vermont Medical License RequiredDEA (must be obtained prior to start) Required
