Role Overview: This position involves collaborating with the technology training team to design, implement, and improve training programs that maximize technology utilization, streamline onboarding, and promote best practices. The specialist will lead efforts in delivering engaging instructional sessions, developing comprehensive training materials, and supporting lawyers and staff with technical issues to foster a culture of continuous learning and technological proficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with the training leadership to refine instructional methodologies, learning experiences, and curriculum effectiveness. Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding technology sessions ensuring consistency across all office locations. Develop and facilitate technical training on legal software platforms, productivity tools, communication systems, and specialized practice group technology workflows. Advocate for technology adoption through engaging training methods, demonstrating the value of new tools and workflows to increase user engagement and buy-in. Support legal and administrative teams with technical document management, workflow optimization, and support for legal software applications. Create, update, and maintain training manuals, quick reference guides, tip sheets, on-demand resources, and other instructional materials. Collaborate with practice leaders and department managers to assess and address training needs, tailoring solutions to diverse audiences. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, document management systems, customer relationship management platforms, and other law practice applications. Provide virtual, remote, on-site, and on-demand technical support to attorneys and staff to ensure seamless technology usage.
Core Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with 3-5 years of experience in a legal or professional services environment. Proven experience in delivering adult learning programs, instructional design, or corporate training. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Deep understanding of adult learning principles, with adaptable training styles for diverse audiences. Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and driving change. Ability to quickly learn new systems and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly training content. High energy, proactive attitude, and customer-focused approach to support and education.
Nice-to-Have
Qualifications: Experience with legal technology platforms such as Net Documents, Litera Create, and legal workflow tools like NTD.Familiarity with AI tools and legal time tracking software such as iTimekeep. Basic knowledge of Mac OS, iPhone devices, and international practice requirements. Skilled in online collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and e-learning creation tools such as Camtasia.
