As of October 1st, a premier law firm seeks a Legal Secretary to assist Real Estate attorneys with various tasks and assignments in their New York office. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for: Managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and prioritizing conflicting appointments. Preparing, reviewing, and distributing various real estate documents including conveyance, collateral, deeds, resolutions, certificates, contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and amendments. Completing special projects for the attorneys, including generating reports, assembling closing documents, spreadsheets, and other materials. Communicating regularly with clients and other external parties over the phone, in-person, and through correspondence.
Required Skills: 5+ years of experience; preferably within a large law firm. Bachelor’s degree preferred Diligent attention to detail, and strong organizational and time management skills.
