About the role

Company Description: Kaitlyn Perez Communications (KPC) is an award-winning, founder-led communications firm that advises leaders through high-stakes moments and complex public issues. Drawing on more than 15 years of experience across government, business, philanthropy, and sensitive public matters, KPC provides strategic counsel that helps clients communicate with clarity and purpose. The team is known for transforming complexity into structured, actionable messaging that anticipates audience reactions and supports thoughtful responses. KPC specializes in narrative design for organizations at inflection points, facing reputational challenges, or undergoing transformational change, delivering tailored, discreet support. The firm’s work is grounded in strong values, intentional craft, and a commitment to helping leaders show up with confidence when it matters most.
Role Description: KPC is growing, and we’re looking for an exceptional *part-time/contract-based* Executive Assistant to help build the support behind that growth. Working closely with our founder and alongside our team, this person will manage professional and personal scheduling, administrative priorities, and the details that keep the business moving. We need someone who brings both warmth and backbone. You can assess competing requests, distinguish urgency from distraction, and hold boundaries with confidence and tact. Your work helps ensure the right people spend their time on the right priorities, allowing KPC to grow with strong, steady momentum. Responsibilities include bringing order to the inbox, creating a clear, color-coded calendar, managing correspondence, tracking commitments, supporting invoicing, and coordinating everyday logistics. Exceptional organization, fast execution, and proactive follow-through are essential. You must be highly responsive and available during traditional Eastern Time business hours within the agreed part-time schedule. Thoughtful client care matters, too. You notice an upcoming milestone, arrange a birthday or sympathy card, and anticipate opportunities to stay connected. You take ownership of the details, exercise good judgment and know when to act independently or seek direction. Proven executive support experience is essential. Familiarity with CRMs, Microsoft Teams, shared files, and AI tools is important, along with an instinct for making systems more efficient. Communications, PR or marketing experience is helpful, but administrative excellence comes first. This is a position of significant trust, with access to sensitive client information, email, business files and personal details. Confidentiality, discretion and sound judgment are nonnegotiable. Our values are Leadership, Gratitude, Honesty, Fairness and Hope. Culture and fit matter deeply to us. We’re seeking someone capable, thoughtful, and decisive who takes pride in helping others succeed. Scope and hours may expand as needs and fit develop. Remote | Contract-based | 15–20 hours per week to start | $15-20/hour | Immediate start

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
