Senior Estimator - Denver, Colorado Following continued growth across Colorado and the wider Front Range, an opportunity has opened for an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join a growing civil construction business. The company is a 100% employee-owned civil contractor that has been delivering challenging projects since 1944. With a growing footprint across the business delivers earthwork, utilities, concrete flatwork and concrete structures across both public and private sectors. The Opportunity: You’ll play a key role in identifying and securing new work, using your estimating expertise to help the business pursue the right projects and maximise the strength of its bids. You’ll be involved from early project identification through bid submission, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers so that estimates are accurate, competitive and commercially sound. You’ll have the opportunity to: Develop detailed estimates for major heavy civil projects, including projects valued at $5M+.Maximise bid competitiveness through accurate quantity takeoffs, detailed self-perform pricing and effective vendor/subcontractor negotiations. Minimise commercial risk by reviewing quotes, identifying scope gaps and ensuring pricing is complete and responsive. Work closely with operations and leadership so that estimating decisions reflect the realities of project delivery. Analyse completed projects against current estimates, which means you’ll help continually improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the estimating process. Attend pre-bid meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, therefore giving you genuine influence over the work the business chooses to pursue. Contribute to technical proposals and preconstruction strategy so that the business can continue building its presence across high-potential markets.
