PROJECT MANAGERBaton Rouge, LAImmediate Need (1-2 Openings)$100,000 to $130,000* email your resume to bmasterson@lucasjamestalent.com *The Commercial Project Manager provides oversight for all phases of a construction project — coordinating employees, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure specifications are followed and work proceeds with quality, on schedule, and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes full ownership of a project from startup through closeout. Safety· Champion “safety first” at every meeting and on every project site· Confirm weekly safety meetings and subcontractor safety orientations are completed· Enforce site safety standards and document violations in writing Quality & Project Oversight· Know the contract documents inside and out; review submittals and shop drawings for accuracy before they go to the design team· Manage project startup — permits, licenses, utility services, and temporary facilities· Schedule and confirm inspections with the design team and oversight agencies· Create and manage project logs for RFIs, transmittals, and project changes· Complete monthly project billings and maintain as-built drawings for owner turnover Schedule· Build, track, and update the construction schedule with input from the superintendent· Coordinate material procurement and long-lead item deliveries· Document subcontractor schedule issues in writing, per contract Relationships· Lead monthly Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings· Manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations· Build strong, lasting relationships with owners, design teams, and subcontractors Financial Oversight· Manage, review, and verify project costs, budgets, and receivables· Oversee change management and procure wisely across subcontractors, materials, and equipment
