About the role
Job Title The duties of this position include: Performing authorized IG duties delegated to civilian IG personnel, consistent with law, regulation, and command policy. Conducting inquiries and preparing replies to complaints or allegations received from Department of the Army Inspector General (DAIG), Department of War IG (DoW IG), Congress, or the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. Providing technical guidance and advice to IG staff personnel conducting investigations, investigative inquiries and assistance reviews. Conducting all types of IG inspections IAW AR 1-201 and AR 20-1 on a broad area of management responsibilities, to include general, specific, and follow up inspections. Measuring efficiency and effectiveness of command activities placing emphasis on identifying areas of fraud, waste, and abuse. Responsible for teaching and training service members and civilian employees on the proper procedure or policy as defined by the relevant standards. Performing Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) and Organization Inspection Program (OIP) site inspections. Validating methodologies, requirements and initiatives are implemented and documented and performance measures are in place to validate efficiency, effectiveness and quality. Reviewing and acting on complaints or allegations that are extremely sensitive in nature.
