About the role
Material Receiver This role will support the Procurement and Expediting functions by acting as an on-site representative of Primoris Pipeline. The Material Receiver will be required to travel, effectively communicate with the Procurement team in the office, and work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Being on site to witness material deliveries Verifying material descriptions and quantities Reviewing BOLs, MTRs, Tally Reports, and any other documents provided by the shipper/carrier Comparing incoming materials to shipping releases Completing and submitting receiving reports Documenting material shortages, overages, and damages through SOD reports Maintaining material traceability and tracking heat numbers and MTRs to support quality compliance Communicating with the Procurement team to resolve issues with shipments or materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or mechanical engineering technology from an accredited institution
- Recommended experience level: 25 years in material receiving, coordination, expediting, or a related field
- Attention to detail
- Be able to travel to job sites with limited notice
- Expected travel: approximately 50%, based on project needs
- Work outdoors in adverse conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Comfortable working in cloud-based environments
- Preferred Knowledge
- Experience reading MTRs and COCsAutodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)
