About the Role: IT Project Management Officer (PMO) - Global Markets Systems This role is based in New York, US. Visa/Work Permit could be offered to the eligible candidates. The successful candidate will work as part of the PM/PMO team, proactively coordinating with multiple system teams and stakeholders, closely tracking project progress, and providing clear quantitative and qualitative status reporting to both local and head office teams.
Responsibilities: Support project management activities for large-scale Global Markets system enhancement and release projects involving multiple systems and stakeholders. Proactively identify and engage stakeholders across upstream, downstream, and related system teams to understand dependencies and coordinate project activities. Closely follow up with multiple stakeholders to collect project updates, identify outstanding actions and issues, and ensure timely progress through persistent and effective communication. Track and consolidate project status across multiple workstreams and provide both quantitative and qualitative progress reporting to project management and relevant stakeholders. Monitor project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items, proactively following up with responsible teams to keep projects on track. Act as a liaison between the New York office and head office teams, facilitating effective communication, coordination, and status reporting in both Japanese and English. Coordinate testing activities across related system teams, including progress tracking, issue follow-up, and readiness reporting. Continuously improve project management and reporting processes by developing and enhancing tracking tools, reports, and presentation materials using Excel and Power Point.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Project Management, PMO, Project Coordination, or a similar role within IT projects. Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple technology teams and stakeholders. Strong project tracking and reporting skills, with the ability to consolidate information from multiple teams and communicate project status both quantitatively and qualitatively. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to proactively engage multiple teams, follow up persistently, and drive actions to completion. Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with local and head office stakeholders. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, with the ability to create and improve project tracking, status reporting, and presentation materials. Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to proactively identify necessary actions and drive them forward in a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience in financial services or knowledge of Global Markets products and systems is a plus, but not required.
