Manager, Business Audit TeamStep into a high-impact leadership role where your audit expertise and people skills truly matter. As a Manager on Abdo's Business Audit team, you'll own multiple concurrent engagements—leading audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion, guiding your team, and keeping projects running smoothly. You'll be the primary contact for key business clients and the go-to liaison between partners and staff, building strong, trusted relationships while managing complex audits, reviews, and compilations, always with a strong focus on client service.Our services include full cycle business audits, reviews, compilations and employee benefit plan audits for clients in construction, real estate, manufacturing and professional services.At Abdo, we're not your typical accounting firm. We carefully seek out the best people and trust them to make a difference in helping our clients navigate forward with confidence.Our culture is built on the following principles:Relationships - We give our best to our clients and to each other.Growth & Development - We get better every day.Teamwork - We accomplish great things together.Key responsibilities include:Lead and manage multiple complex audit, review, and compilation engagements (including EBP audits) from proposal through final presentation to client leadershipMeet with prospective and existing clients to understand needs, scope engagements, and prepare and present proposals and audit resultsSet engagement timelines and staffing plans; delegate work and oversee workflow to ensure timely, high-quality deliveryReview and finalize workpapers and audit documentation in accordance with professional and firm standards, ensuring accuracy and completenessManage, develop, and train staff; contribute to off-season training and implementation of new accounting and auditing standardsOversee time reporting, billing, WIP, and collections for assigned clients, meeting firm realization and billing goalsExercise discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential client informationDrive firm growth by building client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, and engaging in networking and other business development activitiesIdeal Manager candidate has:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field5-8 years experience in auditExperience in review and compilation engagementsCPA requiredExperience in construction, real estate, manufacturing, and professional services industries preferredStrong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills, with a focus on improvement and automationDesire to work in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative spirit and adaptability to changeAttracting, developing, and retaining the best employees are our highest priorities at Abdo. The estimated base pay range for this role is $95,000 - $130,000. Offers are typically made below the maximum to allow room for future compensation increases in the role. The compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, skills, and business needs.All employees have the opportunity to earn discretionary bonuses based on demonstration of extraordinary performance, special projects of significant importance, or other major accomplishments. Managers are also eligible for a manager bonus program which is awarded based on the consideration of individual contributions, team accomplishments, and firm growth.Abdo cares about the wellbeing of our team members and offers a comprehensive benefits package to support this.
