Role Description:
The Carpenter role at MLA REMODELING is a full-time, on-site position based in Fairfield, OH. The Carpenter will perform a wide range of remodeling and construction tasks, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing building materials for framing, interior finishes, and exterior elements. Daily responsibilities may include reading plans, building and installing structures, doors, trim, cabinets, and other finish components, and ensuring work areas are clean and safe. The Carpenter will use hand tools and power tools, collaborate with project leads and other crew members, and help maintain project timelines and quality standards. This role requires consistent on-site presence at job locations and occasional interaction with clients and inspectors.
Qualifications:
Strong foundational Carpentry skills, including residential remodeling and general construction experience. Proficiency with Hand Tools such as hammers, tape measures, squares, chisels, and levels. Safe and effective use of Power Tools including saws, drills, nail guns, and related equipment. Experience with Framing, including walls, floors, roofs, and structural components. Skill in Finish Carpentry, including trim work, doors, cabinetry, and detailed interior finishes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements accurately. Understanding of job site safety practices and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards. Reliable transportation to Fairfield, OH job sites and ability to work full-time schedules. Physical ability to lift materials, stand, bend, and work on ladders for extended periods. Prior experience in remodeling or construction; relevant training or apprenticeship is preferred.
