Kassouf is recruiting on behalf of a well-established pulmonary and critical care practice in Birmingham, Alabama. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse practitioner who enjoys working in a collaborative critical care environment while maintaining a high degree of autonomy. The practice is part of a comprehensive, multidisciplinary critical care program providing inpatient ICU coverage with strong physician support and access to outstanding subspecialty resources.
Salary: $105,000-$155,000 annually
Benefits Include: Health Insurance Paid Time Off Retirement Plan Medical Malpractice Insurance Schedule This position follows a rotating weekly schedule among five providers.
Shift Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Rotation includes: 4 days on / 7 days off 3 days on / 7 days off Occasional 7 days on / 7 days off
Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage critically ill ICU patients Admit new ICU patients and consults Manage acute critical care patients throughout hospitalization Participate in code team responses Collaborate closely with pulmonary and critical care physicians Utilize Cerner and Epic electronic medical records Work independently while maintaining access to physician consultation and support as needed
Qualifications: Current Alabama Nurse Practitioner license or ability to obtain licensure Experience with hospital rounding, admissions, and patient discharges 1-2 years of intensivist or critical care experience preferred Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Why Join This Practice?
