Workplace Relocation Project Manager On-site in New York, NYOur client is an established commercial services organization supporting complex workplace transitions throughout New York City. As demand continues to grow, they are adding an experienced, field-focused project leader who can take ownership of high-visibility office relocations, furniture installations, and commercial interiors assignments. A highly visible, field-driven leadership position with direct ownership of project execution. Focus: Own field execution for office relocations, furniture installations, decommissioning, and related workplace projects from mobilization through closeout. Direct union crews and field leaders, setting daily priorities while maintaining safe, organized, and productive job sites. Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, property teams, contractors, furniture partners, and technology vendors. Review floor plans, furniture specifications, and installation drawings to translate project requirements into clear field direction. Monitor labor hours, materials, schedule impacts, and evolving scope, escalating potential changes before they disrupt delivery. Manage work in occupied commercial buildings, including projects scheduled during evenings, weekends, and other off-hours windows. Oversee project closeout activities, including resolving outstanding items, conducting completion reviews, finalizing required records, and securing client approval. Spend the majority of the week in the field across New York City, staying close to crews, clients, and active project conditions. Skill Set:5+ years of hands-on project leadership in commercial moving, furniture installation, or commercial interiors within the NYC metro. Demonstrated experience directing union labor and coordinating field crews on active commercial job sites. Working knowledge of floor plans, furniture specifications, installation drawings, and the sequencing required to execute against them. Proven comfort operating in occupied Manhattan office environments where access, tenant coordination, and off-hours schedules matter. Professional client-facing communication skills, with the judgment to work effectively with building personnel and project partners. Strong field presence and the ability to make timely decisions when schedules, site conditions, or scope shift during execution. Organized approach to tracking labor, materials, project details, and closeout requirements across multiple stakeholders. Flexibility to work nights and weekends as project schedules require, with regular on-site travel throughout New York City and the surrounding metro.
