About the role
To support a growing legal team, the full-time remote Commercial Counsel - State Licensed will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts while developing expertise in privacy and compliance, engaging with various stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and facilitate revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements and vendor contracts
Assist with global privacy compliance initiatives and provide guidance on contract interpretations and dispute resolutions
Act as a strategic legal partner to internal teams, offering practical legal advice and collaborating on compliance and operational risk management
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one State Bar
3-6 years of experience focusing on commercial contracts and technology transactions
Deep familiarity with SaaS business models and global data privacy regulations
Enthusiasm for AI and legal technology, with a proactive approach to leveraging new tools
