About the role
Job Description:
The C++ Software Engineer will contribute to the advancement of products designed to support the use of electricity. This is a hybrid position with an average of 2 days per week in the office. In this role, you will take ownership of significant portions of an existing software platform, strengthen production code, and help shape the system's evolution.
Responsibilities:
Own, maintain, and enhance production software primarily written in C and C++.Develop extensively in C++17 on a modern 64-bit ARM (AArch64) processor and SOM-based platform.
Assume responsibility for existing software areas as part of a transition from another engineer, building a strong understanding of the system and its design.
Investigate complex issues, debug production code, and deliver improvements that strengthen reliability and maintainability.
Work across software interfaces connecting C++ applications with .NET-based components.
Collaborate closely with local engineers on system integration, technical decisions, and product development.
Contribute directly to software supporting advanced energy systems that help manage, optimize, and coordinate electrical power in real-world operating environments.
Essential SkillsStrong professional C++ development experience, including hands-on C++17 experience.
Experience developing software on Linux or similar systems running on modern ARM processors.
Strong C/C++ debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Comfort working with software that interacts closely with hardware and other system components.
Ability to take ownership of existing code, understand unfamiliar systems, and make thoughtful improvements.
Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with the engineering team.
Additional Skills & QualificationsC#/.NET experience or experience interfacing C++ applications with .NET software.
Experience with ARM64/AArch64 platforms or System-on-Module architectures.
Experience with energy systems, power electronics, controls, IoT, or other hardware-integrated products.
Work Environment:
