About the Role: Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Telecoms Technician to join their growing team in George. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the installation and configuration of telecommunications hardware and software. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on network infrastructure and customer premises equipment. Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Adhere to safety protocols and company standards during all field operations. Provide basic technical support to customers, explaining service functionalities. Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used.
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. A relevant technical qualification or certification in telecommunications or electronics is advantageous. Basic understanding of telecoms principles, including copper and fiber optic cabling. Ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment. Good communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel within the George region and work flexible hours when required.
