About the role

Our client, a craft cultivator and processor serving a portfolio of the highest quality product to the Illinois cannabis market, is seeking an experienced cannabis sales professional to grow and manage sales efforts in Illinois. The ideal candidate is hungry to hustle and grind on their own to produce revenue, and capable of effectively monitoring, dissecting, and reporting on the sales performance of a small team they will lead.
MUST HAVE: CANNABIS SELLING EXPERIENCE AND LIVE IN THE GREATER CHICAGO AREA!!
Responsibilities: Lead, grow and manage sales to retailers in IL to deliver on targeted results. Maintain weekly pipeline and activity reviews with the team. Support sales team in strategizing, negotiating, and closing deals. Lead the wholesale sales initiatives, strategies & programs. Create and manage wholesale partnerships with dispensaries. Ensure processes regarding product allocation and order processing are being maintained. Partner with inventory to ensure accurate inventory management/menu management. Partner with fulfillment team to ensure accurate and timely wholesale order fulfillment. Maintain thorough and accurate management of the sales pipeline through the CRM.Maintain open communication with the sales team and b 2b customers. Establish forecasting and setting monthly and quarterly targets. Maintain expert knowledge of brands & product offerings, as well as competitors' offerings. Maintain knowledge of the customer landscape, new dispensary openings, m&a, etc. Daily dispensary visits to existing and potential customers to build relationships and expand sales opportunities. Collaborate with inventory, marketing, and operations teams to maximize results. Directly manage enterprise level customer relationships.
Qualifications: Direct sales, client development, and account management experience in cannabis. Data-driven with track record of effectively leveraging consumer insights. as well as monitoring and reporting on sales performance Existing relationships with cannabis retailers within the IL market. CRM experience with appreciation for CRM value to a growing business. Physically located (has residence) in the Greater Chicago Area.
