About the role
Senior Producer, Social Media The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Senior Producer, Social Media responsible for producing video, graphics, editing, ideating and written content for use on all social media channels.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Create original video and graphic content for all platforms that aligns with the network's brand.
Monitor broadcasts and identify content for social platforms
Collaborate with On-Air and Creative Services teams on the development of social-specific content
Work with social and digital teams to develop and refine workflow and posting strategy
Capture b-roll, interviews and other content at live sporting events, media days, and on set
Mentor a team of social media producers
May oversee some day-to-day operations of the social media producer team, including task delegation, scheduling, and workload management
Co-ordinate social media content requests from Social Media Managers, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy and creative objectives
Stay informed about emerging social media platforms, tools, and trends, exploring opportunities for expansion and experimentation
Travel approximately 20%
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BA/BS degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
Knowledge of social media networks
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Excellent copywriting skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to film on an iPhone/DSLR and operate a lavalier microphone
Knowledge of all social media networks specifically Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and X
Understanding of social media analytics
Ability to ideate, produce and deliver creative content (namely video, graphics) in a timely manner
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
Prefer proficiency in Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator and AE as well
