About the role

Do you love music? Consider sharing your love of music with our hospice patients. Whether you are someone who listens to music or makes music, your interest is shared by many of our hospice patients. Music is especially powerful when used with people living with dementia. Whether it is a cheerful sing-along, a mellow hymn, or anything in-between, the goal is to enhance the quality of life of our patients. Volunteer musicians may provide music individually to a single patient or to a group in a facility setting if desired. You do not have to be a professional musician to serve. You also do not need hospice experience. Our hospice volunteers are non-medical companions who want to share some of their free time with others who may not receive regular visitors. Our commitment to you:a flexible schedule at a location that is convenient for you, consistent and accessible staff support from our hospice team, ongoing guidance and education to ensure that you are comfortable with each assignment. If you have questions about the Lily Hospice Musician/Music Volunteer opportunities, contact Laura, Volunteer Coordinator at 715-492-2633 or lcunningham@lilyhealthcare.org.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
