Professional Santa Claus The Toledo Zoo is currently looking for a kind and friendly Santa Claus for Lights Before Christmas and special events. Santa will greet families with a welcoming attitude, engage in friendly conversation, and pose for photos with guests, children, and adults of all ages. They will maintain their costume and appearance, ensuring their beard, Santa suit, and mannerisms are professional. This position requires excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills with the personable and calm demeanor needed to create a comfortable and joyful environment for all. Reporting to the Director of Merchandise Operations, this seasonal position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week. Minimum Training &
Qualifications: Previous employment as a Santa and/or complete of 'Santa School'.Experience working with children and familiarity with the specifics of the wonder of Santa. Must supply your own Santa suit and a natural white beard is preferred. Require successful completion of pre-employment screenings and adherence to Lights Before Christmas - Santa at the Toledo Zoo Guidelines. The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
