Job Summary: We are seeking skilled Residential Appliance Repair Technicians tojoin our team in high-priority markets. Technicians will diagnose andrepair a wide range of household appliances, manage 8-12 daily servicecalls, and provide exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair residentialappliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, ice makers) for Whirlpool, Samsung, and LG brands. Perform sealed system repairs (e.g., compressors, evaporators) and use lock ring or brazing methods(training provided). Manage daily service calls viatablet-based dispatching, optimizing tight routes from ahome-based operation. Provide exceptional customer service, explaining repairs clearly and de-escalating frustrated clientswith professionalism. Pre-screen calls and coordinate partsdelivery to ensure first-call completion, maximizing efficiencyand commission earnings. Maintain clear communication withdispatch and management, adhering to Lake's 100% remoteoperational model. Engage in ongoing training to staycurrent on appliance technologies (e.g., smart appliances). Mentor junior technicians (preferred forFull-Line Technicians) in small markets with 2-5 team members.
Requirements:
  • Experience 2+ Years of Residential Appliance eRepair Experience CertificationsEPA Universal Certification preferred(required for sealed system repairs, training provided for Trainees). Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairingappliances using multimeters, schematics, and tools; knowledge ofelectrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Customer Service
  • Strong communication skills to explainrepairs and manage client expectations, with a proven ability tohandle frustrated customers. Organizational Skills
  • Ability to manage high call volumes, coordinate parts, and optimize routes. Adaptability
  • Willingness to learn Lake's processes, andnew technologies (e.g., smart appliances). Teamwork
Enthusiasm for team collaboration and communityinvolvement (e.g., volunteering). OtherValid driver's license, ability to pass backgroundchecks and drug screening.
Preferred Skills: Sealed system repair experience (e.g., compressors, evaporators). Mentoring or supervisory experience(valued for Full-Line Technicians). Familiarity with Whirlpool, Samsung, LGappliances and warranty work. Experience with tablet-based dispatchingand remote operations.
