About the role
About the Company:
One of our very reputable manufacturing clients is looking to add a Controller to lead the company’s accounting operations and is responsible for the integrity of the general ledger, the timely and accurate monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit, and tax coordination.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller runs the day-to-day accounting office and serves as the department’s leader for accounting systems and process improvement — including designing and continuously improving processes within the company’s ERP environment. The Controller partners closely with the Director of Finance providing accurate and timely financial data that supports budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
Responsibilities:
Lead the company’s accounting operations.
Ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
Oversee timely and accurate monthly and year-end close.
Manage financial reporting.
Maintain and improve internal controls.
Coordinate audit and tax activities.
Run the day-to-day accounting office.
Serve as the department’s leader for accounting systems and process improvement.
Design and continuously improve processes within the company’s ERP environment.
Provide accurate and timely financial data that supports budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
Qualifications:
- 4yr Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Required Skills10 + years of accounting with experience in cost, inventory and has gone thru an ERP implementation
- Strong communications skills
- The ability to collaborate with others within the organization
- Several years of management of others
