About the role
Well established and respected heavy civil construction company has an immediate need for a SAFETY MANAGER.As Safety Manager your responsibilities will include: overseeing the project based field staff in the areas of incident reporting, safety orientation, audits and training.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for liaising with clients, owners and other subcontractors and the review of investigations, medical and various other reports
- Monitoring the implementation of corrective measures
- Assisting with the documentation of safety and environmental incidents
- Assisting with the development and communication of safety statistics
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ years experience in heavy highway / heavy civil project safety management
- Experience with leading safety orientations, project specific inspections and leading training initiatives.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health Course
- CPR and First Aid Training
- Excellent knowledge of applicable safety regulations
- Ability to effectively communicate with people
