Our members come to us for coached training that builds real strength, conditioning, and habits that last. We're a small team, which means our trainers know members by name and have a direct hand in how the gym runs. The most important part of our gym is the community. The role:
We're hiring a personal trainer who can build a book of clients and keep them. The role starts as part-time but will quickly grow to full-time as your client list grows. You'll assess new clients, write individualized programs, coach sessions on the floor, and track progress over time. You'll also have the chance to coach group strength and conditioning classes.
What you'll do:
Run consultations and movement assessments for new and prospective clients Design progressive, individualized programs based on each client's goals, training history, and limitations Coach one-on-one and small-group sessions with close attention to technique and safety Track client progress and adjust programming as they advance Grow your client base through floor presence, member relationships, and referrals Help keep the training floor clean, organized, and welcoming
What we're looking for:
Current nationally accredited personal training certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent)Current CPR/AED certification 2+ years of experience coaching clients one-on-one Strong working knowledge of strength training, conditioning, and program design Reliable, professional, and good with people; clients should look forward to their sessions Flexibility in schedule to meet clients at times most convenient to them
Nice to have:
Group class coaching experienceA degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related fieldA track record of building and retaining your own clientele
Compensation and benefits:
This role is structured as a 1099/independent contractor position. You have total flexibility in your schedule based on desired workload.
