About the role
Restorative Programs Assistant (Student Only) The Office of Community Care & Institutional Transformation (OCCIT) is seeking a student to provide marketing & outreach, web design, operations, and administrative support for OCCIT's restorative programs. Pay rate: $16.75/hour - $21.98/hour The successful candidate is expected to work 10 hours per week. This position is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis. Typically, new hire starts at $18.00/hour. This position is expected to not be eligible for benefits. Student employees are entitled to begin accruing paid sick leave from the start of their employment. The Office of Community Care & Institutional Transformation (OCCIT) provides education & training, cultivates strategic partnerships, and engages the community in people-centered programming to enrich the Bellevue College experience for students, employees, and guests. Through a proactive and responsive lens, OCCIT supports the campus in transformational shifts that prevent and repair harm. We support advancing our institution with practices of community care. Essential functions include: Marketing & web design support Communications Administrative support Support OCCIT with other duties as assigned Minimum qualifications: Knowledgeable of multi-layered aspects of identity, including ability, race, religious belief and practice, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, racial identity and ethnicity. Works well with other students, staff, and faculty on collaborative projects Ability to provide program recommendations based on campus needs Strong organization skills to effectively manage multiple priorities Strong written communication skills with attention to inclusive language Availability for in-person and virtual support during programs Experience with graphics, marketing, and web design Experience with platforms like: Qualtrics, PPT, Canva, MS Excel, Zoom, and MS Teams preferred Required education and experience: Open to all BC students, Federal Work Study eligibility preferred. Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with restorative practices Current Work-Study students are encouraged to apply.
