Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a professional, friendly, and detailed-oriented Sales Coordinator-Front Desk agent to join our Sonesta ES Suites SFO Oyster Waterfront Hotel. This role serves as a key point of contact for guests, event clients, and internal departments, supporting both front desk operations and sales coordination. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding guest service.
Key Responsibilities: Welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, assign rooms, and provide information about rooms, rates, amenities and promotions. Manage reservations, group bookings, guest inquires, payment records, and daily reports with accuracy and professionalism. Assist with sales coordination, including preparing proposals, contracts, follow-up communications, sales and catering files, and client-facing materials. Coordinate with hotel management, housekeeping, banquet and sales steams to support tours, meetings, events and guest needs. Support event planning by gathering event details, coordinating room setup, food and beverage needs, and client service expectations. Maintain guest, VIP, returning customer, and event client information while protecting confidentiality. Promote positive guest experiences, respond to concerns promptly, and encourage guest feedback through appropriate channels. Represent the hotel with professionalism, teamwork, integrity, and commitment to excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or related hotel experience preferred.2-4 years of hospitality experience. Hotel, sales, marketing, administrative or front desk experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, guests, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with hotel sales software is a plus. Knowledge of social media platforms and basic marketing principles is a plus. A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and bending, twisting, and use of standard office equipment. The employee may occasionally lift or carry items over 25 pounds and must be able to perform essential functions or the job without reasonable accomodation.
