Your Role And Responsibilities:
Designer (Product), IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted):Design and develop digital interfaces for software products, enterprise applications, and websites. Design end-to-end user experiences that embed agentic workflows directly into developer tools. Design, develop, test, and optimize digital user interfaces using system-provided interface elements, POUR accessibility principles, HTML, CSS, WCAG standards, and A/B testing methodologies. Use artificial intelligence tools and design methodologies to support design ideation, prototyping, workflow analysis, design evaluation, and product experience optimization. Apply familiarity with AIassisted design concepts and automated workflow patterns to support software product experiences. Provide guidance to junior designers and cross-functional peers on design practices, emerging design tools, and artificial intelligence concepts as they relate to product design. Develop, maintain, and update design system documentation, reusable component and code libraries, product design guidelines, technical design documentation, and whitepapers for company product design projects. Distill complex data models into highly usable and efficient UI (user interface) experiences and present design work (including prototypes and mockups) to stakeholders and customers. Deliver user-centered interface designs (including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes) informed by user and market research. Perform product design development using enterprise software design principles, web and media interface design tools, HTML, CSS, WCAG standards, and A/B testing methodologies. Support design work for software products used by business, enterprise, and technical audiences, including user interface experiences and related command-line interface workflows. Apply familiarity with infrastructure-related product workflows and data visualization principles to inform product design decisions. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing User Experience (UX) Research and Design; UI Design, Wireframing and Prototyping; Interaction Design; Design System Management; Information Architecture (IA); Website Design and Building; Figma; Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator; Webflow and Framer; HTML/CSS. $201720 to $251720 per year. Master’s degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Product Design, Graphic Design or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, UI/UX Designer, Software Product Designer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing User Experience (UX) Research and Design; UI Design, Wireframing and Prototyping; Interaction Design; Design System Management; Information Architecture (IA); Website Design and Building; Figma; Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator; Webflow and Framer; HTML/CSS.
