About the role
Seeking a Cost Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in product costing, should-cost analysis, and manufacturing processes. The role will support Engineering and Procurement teams by developing cost models, identifying cost-reduction opportunities, and driving Design-to-Cost initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Develop should-cost models and cost targets for mechanical and electrical components.
Apply DFM/DFA and VA/VE methodologies to optimize product costs.
Perform cost analysis using CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
Conduct benchmarking, teardown studies, and supplier cost analysis.
Support supplier negotiations with detailed cost reports.
Track product costs and present savings opportunities to management.
Required Skills:
Should-Cost Analysis & Product Costing
DFM/DFA, VA/VE, Target Costing
aPriori, BDI, or similar costing tools
Casting, Stamping, Machining, Injection Molding, Extrusion, PCBA
BOM & Engineering Drawing Interpretation
Creo / 3D CAD
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
7–10 years of relevant experience. xsgimln
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
