Qualifications & Desired Experience: Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license is required Previous experience in a school setting with K-12 students preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP, in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist in screening, assessment, and documentation processes
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure coordinated care and maximize student outcomes
- Track student progress, maintain thorough records, and contribute to progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions as needed
- Support activities that facilitate generalization of communication strategies within the classroom
