Role Description: This part-time, on-site Insurance Agent role is based in Northern Virginia, VA. The Insurance Agent will meet with individuals, families, and businesses to assess their financial protection needs and recommend appropriate insurance and related financial products. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and building client relationships, explaining policy options, preparing quotes, and assisting clients with applications and claims-related questions. The role involves maintaining accurate client records, staying informed about industry trends and product updates, and participating in team meetings and training sessions. The Insurance Agent will also collaborate with colleagues and management to support client education initiatives and contribute to overall agency growth.
Qualifications: Ability to perform Insurance Sales activities, including prospecting, presenting solutions, and closing business. Knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, with an understanding of policy types and coverage options. Basic Finance skills to explain financial concepts, premiums, and long-term planning in clear, accessible terms. Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on building trust, handling inquiries, and supporting clients throughout the policy lifecycle. Relevant state insurance licensing (or willingness to obtain), and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse clients and team members. Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple client accounts and follow-up activities in a part-time schedule. Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or sales is beneficial but not required; training and development opportunities may be provided.
