About the role

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the FAA Licensed Product Design Engineer will design, prototype, test, and refine mechanical systems for camera modules, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. Key responsibilitiesCreate 3D CAD models and production-ready 2D drawings for camera parts and assemblies Design and build prototypes to evaluate new concepts and mechanical architectures Plan and conduct laboratory testing, analyze results, and communicate findings through engineering reportsRequired qualificationsMaster's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience Proficiency in 3D CAD, with experience in CATIA strongly preferred Experience with rapid prototyping methods such as 3D printing and CNC machining Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance analysis, and common manufacturing processes Ability to document test methods, analyze data, and communicate conclusions clearly
