About the role
- Respond to medical emergencies and deliver patient care, support and evaluation in a pre-hospital setting, such as on the scene and during transport to emergency facility.
- Operates an emergency medical vehicle
- Examine and evaluate patient to determine the right course of treatment
- Provide patient with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
- Required to communicate professionally with medical personnel staff at emergency facilities
- Responsible to maintain daily cleaning schedules of the Union County Ambulance Service living quarters.
- Responsible to maintain daily cleaning of his/her ambulance.
- Possess a valid Illinois drivers license
- Possess a valid Illinois or Nationally Registered EMT Basic License or Paramedic License
- Successfully complete employment screening
- Eligible to participate in available medical and dental insurance plan beginning the first day of the month following date of hire.
