About the role
Account Executive: Advertising Sales Schedule: 3 days per week/10+ hours per week (around class schedule)
Pay:
Hourly Account Executive: Advertising Sales is responsible for generating revenue for the State News Media Group operations. Tasks include finding and maintaining prospective clients, advertising and marketing sales, pitching ideas to clients, and working in tandem with the advertising and design teams to create in-depth advertising campaigns.
Qualifications:
Enrolled as a full-time student at Michigan State University (12+ credit hours) Proficiency in Basecamp, Canva, Slack, and Google Workspace or any other cloud-based software platforms Strong, persistent communicator with acute attention to detail Understand the type of advertorial content apt to resonate with the Spartan community Job Description Assist TSN in meeting its monthly revenue benchmarks. Ensure the longevity of TSN by building, maintaining, and cultivating relationships with businesses, organizations, and other entities in the greater Lansing area. Create and post exclusive advertorial content promoting TSN to its social media accounts. Work with the advertising and business director and the marketing executive to complete social media-based promotional initiatives. Promote and sell print, digital, newsletter, and social media ad placements. Understand and expand client needs to maximize campaign reach, impact, and ROI. Assemble fully realized advertising pitches based on a client's campaign objectives. Collaborate with the design team to bring client ads to life. Generate and pitch ideas for advertising TSN and its content to the Spartan community. Work events that promote TSN. Attend weekly business team meetings.
