Title: Assistant, HR Administrative Services Department: DT Human Resources Campus Location: TCCD District Offices Employee Classification: CLR - Clerical Position Type: FT - Regular Grant Funded: No Pay Frequency: Monthly Compensation Details: Starting Pay - 45,900.00; Commensuratewith education and experience Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Flexibility isrequired, as occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessarybased on department needs. Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remotework Job Summary:This role provides professional customer service and administrativesupport to the Human Resources (HR) department. The position isresponsible for delivering high-quality clerical, receptionist, andproject-based support, ensuring efficient daily operations andeffective service to internal and external stakeholders. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Performance Requirements* Enters, updates, and maintains employee records in HR systems anddatabases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data entry as wellas alignment with established procedures Assists with compiling, formatting, and preparing standard androutine reports to support internal operations and externalreporting requirements, following established procedures andguidance Responds to routine HR inquiries, providing guidance withinestablished policies and referring complex matters as needed Prepares and formats correspondence, forms, and otherdepartmental documents with attention to detail andconsistency Identifies basic issues and utilizes available resources andprocedures to support timely resolution Provides cross-functional support to other HR areas, asassigned Service Excellence Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College Supervision Works under the general supervision of the assigned departmentleader *Performs Other Related Tasks as Required The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of thevarious types of work that may be performed. Required Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Three (3) years of working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree At least one (1) year's working experience in a Higher Education At least one (1) year's working experience in Human Resources Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of general office and administrative support practices, including records management, data entry, document preparation, androutine reporting procedures in a professional officeenvironment Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and buildingeffective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentationsoftware Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of ateam in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders Ability to apply critical thinking and sound judgement toidentify, resolve, and communicate routine issues in an environmentwith changing priorities and varying workloads Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and interruptionswhile maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines in a faste-paced environment Ability to maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and tact whilehandling sensitive and confidential information withdiscretion Physical Demands and Work Environment:Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representatives of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform theessential functions of this job. While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanicalparts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
