Manufacturing Engineer Hartford County, CTWe are partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Hartford County, CT seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, process improvements, tooling, and manufacturing optimization initiatives. This role will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and support new product introduction activities. The ideal candidate will have experience within an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment and enjoy working in a hands-on production setting.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies Create and maintain work instructions, routers, manufacturing documentation, and process flows Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements to improve efficiency and quality Analyze production issues and drive corrective actions to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with process validation, capability studies, and production readiness activities Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to support manufacturing execution Work closely with Quality to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements Support lean manufacturing initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost reduction Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and production transition activities Coordinate with Supply Chain and Production teams to resolve manufacturing constraints and material flow issues
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience within aerospace, defense, medical device, or precision manufacturing environments Experience supporting machining, assembly, fabrication, composites, or electromechanical manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TFamiliarity with AS9100 quality standards and regulated manufacturing environments Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
