Job Description: *Position is contingent upon contract award* SOSi is seeking a Data Scientist to support our government customer in Chantilly, VA. Essential Job Dutiesserves as a key technical resource for advanced statistical methods, ML algorithm selection, and enterprise data strategy.
Qualifications: Active in scope TS/SCI w/ Poly. Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency with major data science tools and languages such as PostgreSQL/SQL, Python, R, NiFi, and Git. Experience with cleaning, managing, optimizing performance with, and processing large volumes of data. Familiarity with industry best practices for software/hardware optimization when processing large data sets. Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, and/or geospatial analytics. Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other parallel storage/computing processes. Experience providing services to develop AI/ML models and weights to facilitate object detection, data triage, search/optimization, inference, and automated discovery and decision making.
