This full-time leadership role involves integrating clinical operations across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute settings while championing key programs like the GUIDE Model and HELP. The successful candidate will collaborate on fellowship training, drive quality improvement, and help shape geriatric healthcare delivery within a prominent academic health system. Responsibilities: Lead and integrate clinical operations across inpatient geriatric consultation services, comprehensive outpatient practices, and post-acute / long-term care partnerships throughout the UPMC network. Champion the GUIDE Model (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience), a CMS innovation program delivering coordinated, dementia-specific care that supports patients and caregivers at home and in the community. Provide strategic oversight of the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP), our evidence-based initiative to prevent delirium and functional decline in hospitalized older adults. Collaborate with the Division Chief and Fellowship Program Director to sustain and grow the ACGME-accredited Geriatric Medicine Fellowship, mentoring the next generation of geriatricians. Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and value-based care initiatives across all clinical sites, with direct impact on outcomes for one of the nation’s largest older adult populations.
