About the role
Workload Automation Consultant Location:
Hybrid — 2 days onsite per week in Edison, NJ6-8 months contract Entech is seeking Workload Automation Consultants to support a client engagement focused on assessing and improving enterprise workload automation, job scheduling, and batch processing environments. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in production operations, Windows Server environments, file-based processing, technical documentation, logging/monitoring, and operational process improvement. OpCon experience is preferred, but experience with similar enterprise scheduling tools will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
Assess workload automation, job scheduling, and batch processing environments Document workflows, schedules, dependencies, file movement, and operational procedures Review Windows Server environments, file-based architecture, and automation touchpoints Identify risks related to manual processes, scheduling gaps, access controls, monitoring, and resiliency Analyze logs to identify failure patterns, root causes, and retry opportunities Support technical documentation, execution-ready scripting, process maps, and go-forward recommendations Contribute to future-state planning, operational roadmaps, and client-ready deliverables
Qualifications:
Mid-Level Consultant:3–6 years of experience in workload automation, job scheduling, batch processing, or production operations Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Windows Server, file processing, access controls, logging, and monitoring Senior Consultant:8+ years of experience in workload automation, job scheduling, batch processing, or production operations consulting Ability to lead assessments, identify risks, and develop client-facing recommendations Strong experience creating executive-ready documentation and operational improvement roadmaps
